Opa Wim van Persie in the spotlight
LONDON, England – He supported his grandson Robin ever since he was a little boy. Now it was time for opa (Dutch for grandfather) Wim van Persie to have his moment in the spotlight.
Last Sunday Robin van Persie dedicated his Arsenal goal versus Manchester United to his grandfather, who celebrated his 91st birthday.
Not at home in The Netherlands but in the stands in London, watching his grandson who he taught how to make a cycle kick in his hometown in Brabant.
Robin van Persie later posted this picture on his twitter-account: a proud grandfather posing in the Arsenal locker room: Happy Birthday, Opa!
